Tyrus Raymond Cobb also known as “The Georgia Peach” or “Ty” Cobb was recognized as the best player of the dead-ball era, also included as one of the greatest players of all-time. Cobb is known to have held 90 Major League Baseball records during his career, where some still stands up until now. He still holds the highest career batting average and most career batting titles.

Although Cobb was noted for his rude temperament and aggressive playing style, people still voted for him to be part of Hall of Fame, getting 222 out of a possible 226 votes, another record in itself. People may not have liked him personally, but they had respect for his accomplishments and the way he played the game. He was then ranked third on the list of 100 Greatest Baseball Players.
