Professional workout, adequate sleep, and appropriate diet are the key components to becoming the best baseball player you can be.
During training and practices, it is best if you take a snack every three to four hours. Protein bars, nuts, crackers, and fruits are good choices for quick meals. Make sure you also drink water every fifteen to twenty minutes to replenish the liquids you lose while playing. When you wake up, it is advisable to eat breakfast to give you the energy boost that you need. Take foods that are rich in carbohydrates during meal times. However, avoid dishes that are high in fat content before games and practices to avoid an upset stomach. If you are very hungry after a game, eat 15 minutes after but avoid food that are too heavy. Fruit smoothies, cereals, turkey or beef sandwiches are some ideal options.
Another important reminder for baseball players is to take a lot of liquids before, during, and after training and playing a match. There are recommended amounts as to how much a player should drink.
