Alex Rodriguez

He was born Alexander Emmanuel Rodriguez on July 27, 1975 in Washington Heights to a Dominican family. He currently plays for the New York Yankees, making a mark in almost all of his matches. He was four years old then when his family migrated to the Dominican Republic. He completed his secondary education at the Westminster Christian High School in Miami. It was during this time that he tried out for Team USA. He was first seen as part of the Seattle Mariners team in 1993. In the year 2000, he signed a contract for Texas Rangers where he played record breaking games. In 2004, the Rangers and Yankees agreed to switch players with second baseman Alfonso Soriano.

C.C. Sabathia
Carsten Charles Sabathia, the famous pitcher for New York Yankees, was born on July 21, 1980 in Vallejo, California and is well known for his weight for he seemed quite over the usual athlete’s build. But wait until you see him on the field, you’ll know why he is one of the highest paid baseball stars. When he was 12, his father left their family and his mother who was then working as a telephone operator. He was educated at Vallejo High School, where he showed his expertise in the game and started his professional career.

Joe Mauer

Fondly called the “Mauer Power”, Joseph Patrick Mauer was born on April 19, 1983 and was the youngest of the three boys who all showed baseball prowess. When he was in his teen years, he started showing up his skills in tossing so many touchdowns in one game. In April of 2004, he accidentally injured his left leg and had no choice but to stop playing until he fully recovered in 2005. In the field, he is quite a versatile athlete; he pitches well and he runs for touchdowns best.

Cliff Lee

Clifton Phifer Lee was born in Benson, Arkansas on August 30, 1978. When he was in college, he played for the University of Arkansas. In June 2002, he signed a contract with the Cleveland Indians in exchange of Bartolo Colon and Tim Drew, then in 2010, he again signed for Philadelphia. He had two children with wife Kristen, son, Jaxon and daughter, Maci.
